Recreational Fishing Survey

This is a holistic approach to assessing and understanding the stock of marine species present in our coastal waters. The information collected in this survey will be used to interpret the health of local fish stocks and inform the sustainable management of these fisheries in Whangarei-te-rerenga-parāoa. In addition, we intend to produce a species identification card specific to our rohe, similar to the one below;
